Nine Hours Behind

So our trip is at an end. We are looking forward to gaining our nine hours back and more importantly getting some cuddles from our pup. Brian will have to get his quickly because he'll be back on the road almost as soon as we land......lucky guy! Here are some parting pics from yesterday that were not part of the Villa and a couple quick shots of Zurich. Our train ride was very scenic and the Alps were out in the sunshine, unfortunately our train from Milan (which we had to run for because the trains in Italy are always late arriving) had the dirtiest windows of our entire trip, so no photos were taken, sadly. Brian would like to note that he is trying his best not to form a hatred for Italian trains, but he's having a hard time. He had to deal with a faulty headrest for three hours on our way to Zurich, it kept unlatching and knocking him in the head. We booked first class tickets to Milan from Varenna on a train that ended up being standing room only, we stood in between the cars in what was basically the bathroom of the train for an hour and a half. But hey, that's traveling and again makes you appreciate the little things.

Look who's back! If I was a teenager in Switzerland I would work here and they could pay me in store displays. I may have to paint this on my wall when we get home.

Fondue Update: We walked by a place advertising it and said "lets just do it." But then we got five feet closer and changed our minds once the smell hit us. Plus Brian dry heaving is never a good sign. We have no idea how people do it, we really don't. We'll stick to pomme frites and rosti please.

That's all for now,
Love, TaB
