Freddie didn't even turn to say goodbye.
Brian did find the Porsche of his dreams and I...
ran into this little baby on our way to the train station (I may have squealed). I forgot to mention this earlier but people take their dogs everywhere, restaurants, shops, concerts, boats, trains etc. All the dogs are extremely well behaved and we've only heard a peep out of one when we were at a restaurant. It was when a Dachshund spotted another dog, then we heard a slight yip, but that was one of over maybe 50 dogs we have seen out places.
Below are some iphone train shots on our way to the Berner Oberland/Lauterbrunnen. We passed miles upon miles of vineyards and vegetable gardens.
The picture above is a quick shot I took in Spiez. It looked beautiful and next go round I'd love to stop in and explore more.
Our Arrival in Lauterbrunnen, a valley village between the alps.
Panoramic view from our room. Staubbach Falls is off to the right.
The cows outside our hotel have all the Swiss bells and whistles. Ok, just bells.
We took a six mile walk after we checked into our hotel and as you can see from the pics above, we narrowly escaped a stampede of milk cows. Thankfully that 1 inch thick piece of plastic twine saved us from being permanent fixtures of the valley floor. Our walk ended up being more of a hop zig-zag. Now, we're not veterinarians or anything, but these cows might have serious stomach allergies. You've never seen splats so large. Cars were even slowing to avoid them. It was like the Tricertops scene in Jurassic Park, but flatter and more liquified. I didn't take any pics, so hopefully my words are painting a vivid picture.
They light up the waterfall at night, its AWESOME!
